SPILLMAN | BLACKWELL Fine Art is a gallery and consultancy featuring a diverse roster, ranging from emerging to seasoned talent, and from local, national and international artists. Conceived by two women with a combined 30 years of gallery experience, SPILLMAN | BLACKWELL Fine Art seeks to promote its artists locally and beyond, with a focus on being an artist-centered and community-accessible space.

Leslie-Claire Spillman is a graduate in art from Xavier University with a focus in painting and photography, she has worked as a gallerist and photographer in New Orleans for nearly two decades. Amy Blackwell is an alumna of Southern University and A&M College with a concentration in History. Blackwell began her career in the New Orleans art world by apprenticing at Silverman Studios under the late famed sculptor Dr. Arthur Silverman. Spillman, was the longtime Director of the renowned Soren Christensen Gallery in New Orleans, and Blackwell, also worked at Soren Christensen Gallery for over ten years, as the preparator.

Together, Spillman and Blackwell have a combined skill set that covers every aspect of the gallery business, with extensive practice in their respective areas of expertise, and in 2020 established a gallery bearing their names in the heart of the New Orleans Arts District.
